The ethnic village of Nevidio is located in the municipality of Šavnik, on the slopes of the majestic Durmitor, about 90 kilometers from Podgorica. This idyllic village is located near the famous Nevidio canyon, the last conquered canyon in Europe. The landscape of the village is completed by two glacial lakes and the river Komarnica, which mysteriously disappears in the depths of the Nevidio canyon. This location exudes peace and the authenticity of Montenegrin tradition, while the nearby Komarnica valley is breathtaking with its natural beauty.

Ethno village Nevidio offers accommodation in authentic mountain huts, built of stone and wood, which exude warmth and simplicity. In the village there are five smaller huts for families and four larger huts that can accommodate up to six people. The restaurant located in the heart of the village serves local specialties prepared from fresh, local ingredients. Kačamak, cicvara, prosciutto and roast are just some of the specialties that you must try.

The way to the destination

The journey from Podgorica takes approximately two hours, depending on weather conditions and driving speed. The best route leads over the main road through the valley of the Morača River, offering spectacular scenery and perfect locations for a break and photo ops. Enjoy by the fireplace, homemade tea and conversations with the hosts who are happy to share stories about life in the mountains and adventures in the canyon. This is real relaxation magic!

Sunday: Day for natural beauty

Morning:

After a delicious homemade breakfast, head to the Nevidio Canyon, a symbol of adventure and natural beauty. If you are not ready for an adrenaline rush through the canyon, a walk along its rim will provide you with enough inspiration and an opportunity for incredible photos.

Afternoon:

After exploring the canyon, head towards the Komarnica valley. This valley is often neglected in favor of more famous destinations, which is a real injustice because it offers incredible peace and beauty. In winter, the valley looks like a scene from a fairy tale, while in summer it offers ideal conditions for walks and picnics.

The Komarnica valley is also home to two glacial lakes and the Skakavica waterfall, which from a height of 70 meters creates a magnificent picture. This place is ideal for meditation, photography or simply enjoying the silence and fresh air.

Return to Podgorica:
